    @75echo You could attach magnets to the shaft and generate current in a coil, but that would be less efficient than extractin energy directly from the solar cells that run it.

    @sorova Are you retarded, i know it uses solar energy to turn, but i am just saying the forces of magnetism are more interesting than the motor is. I don’t care how much the magnets cost and no they do not require energy to work, they are magnetic all the time. Fucking hell i was only commenting on the magnets, so wind you neck in

    @eyeswideopennimrod You are talking in riddles. It needs rare-earth magnets to work which are expensive and need to be given energy to make them magnetic. The power comes from the Sun – fine. So it’s a solar powered motor. (solar cells also take energy to make them too!) Don’t give the impression that it’s free energy or any such bull.

    @sorova I think you will find that magnetism is not from the sun, magnetism is throughout the universe and is one of the forces that are required for everything to exist, along with electricity and gravity. Ye the motor is great and yes that does derive its power from the sun, but it is a simple motor at the end of the day. Where as magnetism is infinitely more interesting in its origins and its effect upon everything.
