good video,but countries are doing something about it,more and more solar and wind energy is being put in place,along with new energy being created,but it is not just costly but also time consuming, thank you and keep up the great work poulter27

@poulter27 i was just quoting dick cheney….i think. They tell us nothing. Keep us in the dark, then implement changes THEY want when crisis happen. Man made or natural crisis =P Nice research btw =P good work.

@poulter27 I don’t think they will do it, because it means a minister taking responsibility, and they don’t like doing that. Can you imagine if they shut if off, but had problems bringing it back online, whilst France did nothing and was unaffected? Would you be the guy who made the decision to shut it off? I predict they will dither around and do nothing, then the lights will go out, and we can all blame mother nature rather than a minister.

@poulter27 The UK govt had a meeting about it a few months ago, upshot was they have 2 options – upgrade the grid to protect it (but that’s costly and they don’t want to spend any money, or fon’t have any) or… wait for it… switch the grid OFF when a big flare happens. However they have never done this and there are concerns that they couldn’t turn it back on if they killed it so… looks like they are doing nothing.
