My guess for the most cost-effective means of protecting power grids is to use the earliest reliable detection of dangerous magnetic events to shut down grids and isolate vulnerable transformers and equipment in temporary, controlled, protective outages. Good GIC mitigating equipment and techniques could minimize the need for shutdowns. We need to develop a cost-effective, easy-to-implement system of grid protection immediately!

In this board, they vote, and if a theory get more than 50% then the theory is commonly accepted. If the theory in the future, prove wrong, then another one time the science will change.
