The Jura ENA 5 Espresso Maker – Just The Facts

The Capresso ENA 5 is advertised as being the world’s slimmest automatic espresso and coffee machine. The specifications of the Capresso ENA 5 are 9″ wide x 17″ long x 14″ high so it is hard to argue with this claim.

If there was one shortfall with the Jura Capresso ENA 5 understandable though given its size, it would be the 37oz water reservoir. So, if you are a person that has a lot of company over or are simply a big coffee drinker then you may find this limitation to be an inconvenience. As well something that should be mentioned is the fact that the ENA 5 is not programmable for that first cup of coffee in the morning. Otherwise, at just over $1,000 the ENA 5 gives great bang for the buck.

Some of the features of the Capresso ENA5 are as follows. The ENA 5 features  a unique height-adjustable spout that rotates 180 degrees, giving the user the choice of brewing through a single or dual coffee spout; ie. you can make two cups of coffee at once. It also comes with two frothing systems: the Dual Frother Plus for traditional frothing by injecting steam into a pitcher of milk, and the frothXpress Plus System, which automatically froths or steams milk into the cup. The 5 setting conical burr grinder can be adjusted for regular or oily beans from fine to coarse simply by turning the chrome adjustment ring while the grinder is running.

As well, like all Jura Capresso superautomatics, the ENA models are trouble-free in no small measure due to the automatic cleaning cycles and the patented Clearyl filter that not only removes impurities but also eliminates the need for decalcification. This is also the first Jura Capresso model offered in three color choices: Coffee Cherry Red, Ristretto Black, and Blossom White. This may be the ultimate compact superautomatic on the market today.
