Really like the way you told your story and the facts. You don’t have to live like the Amish to make it off the grid, wish there was more People that have the pride to provide for themselves and not rely on loans and utilities to live. That’s what I call a real man, not a servant or peasant like the rest of us.
@solarcabin than please cut the cable and use a chain saw on your power pole
AND FREEDOM lol, thats right buddy I just moved to T.X and I want excatly what you got going here
@Econm
There was power to the property before I owned it but the transformer was removed and no power to the pole. I use solar and wind power.
Why is there a wire running from the power pole to your all solar cabin ?
@SimonAlbert1776
I don’t sell houses or kits but you can get all the plans on my website to build your own. simplesolarhomesteading dot c o m
: ) this video made me feel peaceful
WHERE do you buy a house/ house kit?
@solarcabin Not bad. Mine are just over $300 a year… but I live in the city.
@illuzion30
Property taxes are $170 a year.
Just wondering… how much has the county assessed your property at?
@eldrama2
No electrical bill. I use propane for cooking and OD water heater and I have cell phone and wifi.
@solarcabin then you do have utility bills?
@eldrama2
I get wifi internet and cell phone service or you could use satellite.
wooooo hoo!!!!!!!!!! this seems like the life to be livin’
how do you get internet access?
@inkey2
There is a full bathroom in the cabin with sink, shower and toilet. I use a solar composting toilet of my own design or you could use a conventional toilet and septic tank system. There is room for an over/under washer dryer but I have side by side w-d in my shed.
just curious……is there plumbing or an “out-house”…….what about washing….any way to take a bath? This is a very attractive concept
@eldrama2
Sure but make sure the shed is structurally well made with studs on 16 inch centers.
i’m going to do this. it’s like a light just went on in my head.
i was wondering if i could just buy one of those wooden storage shed kits they sell at Home Depot at modify it with insulation etc., instead of building this from scratch.
@miamisox i would love a guy like this one day i will have my own land and house like this
@GulpTheRedPill
About $170 a year.
@solarcabin Don’t make the same mistake thrice!
