Neil Young ~ Dave Matthews Band ~All Along The Watchtower ~ farm aid exTREmE vIDeo Bob Dylan Cover
Location: El Camino Del Rey in Spain. “Farm Aid started as a benefit concert on September 22, 1985, in Champaign, Illinois, held to raise money for family farmers in the United States. The concert was organized by Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young, spurred on by Bob Dylan’s comments at Live Aid earlier in that year. (Dylan said, “I hope that some of the money…maybe they can just take a little bit of it, maybe…one or two million, maybe…and use it, say, to pay the mortgages on some of the farms and, the farmers here, owe to the banks….”) Nelson and Mellencamp then brought family farmers before Congress to testify about the state of family farming in America. Congress subsequently passed the Agricultural Credit Act of 1987 to help save family farms from foreclosure. Today, Farm Aid is an organization that works to increase awareness of the importance of family farms, and puts on an annual concert of country, blues and rock music with a variety of stars. The board of directors includes Nelson, Mellencamp, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews. Young’s speeches about the environment are a highlight of the annual shows”…Wikipedia Location: El Camino Del Rey in Spain

@hharryhoudini If Newton had a Fig drop on his head instead of an apple would we still be in the dark concerning gravity?
All kidding aside yes the quote fits well.
this sucks
@curiousgeorge555
Well,I just found an album version on “Road Rock”,but this is live, too. :/
@Streetwarrior45ify I haven’t found it on any album.
Unbelievable great! *.*
Is this song on any album?
And stop asking where it is,read the description! -.-
Wheres this? O,o Looks like an awesome walk
where is this video from/of?
Brilliant, just brilliant.
Danke für das tolle Video, hast noch Du mehr von solchen Wanderungen mit Helmkamera?
Wirklich echt Spitze.
awesome video.
@hharryhoudini Actually the phrased was probably coined by Bernard of Chartres a few hundred years earlier.
Thats now on my to do list. By the way “the standing on the shoulders” is an old quote famously used by Isaac Newton – fits nicely here. Roger and out curious.
@hharryhoudini “the Hendrix version reaches new heights by standing on Bob Dylans shoulders.”
Well put.
If you haven’t checked out Neil’s version at Bobfest you should. Neil takes it to a nether world just as Jimi does.
Both are in different stratospheres of far off galaxies. All three versions are brilliant
imo.
Sublime guitar playing blows away any angst. Although the song is a brilliant creation I have to say in this case the top marks go to the obsessional genius that made the guitar sing like an Angel playing in the throws of ecstacy. Well overstating it a bit maybe, the Hendrix version reaches new hights by standing on Bob Dylans shoulders.
@hharryhoudini My favorite 3 performers of this song are 1: Dylan 2: Hendrix 3: Neil Young. I gotta go with the writer of the song for the #1 spot. Love the Jimi and the Neil covers too. When Neil played it at “Bobfest” he slammed it outa the park. Hendrix made it his own and…well what can I say? Hendrix is Hendrix.
